ADJUSTING UPPER TENSION

To

increase

upper

tension,

turn

upper

tension

regulator

to

higher

number.

To

decrease

upper

tension,

turn

upper

tension

regulator

to

a

lo­

wer number.

Turning

tension

regulator

from

”0"

to

"9"

will

increase

tension.

Nor­

mal sewing is performed between "4" and "5".

Note: Normal stitches will be performed on the red zone at 4, 5 and

6 for regular cotton threads.

ing in fabric as shown in Fig. 1,

using

the

zig

zag

stitch

for

embroidery

(satin

stitching),

decrease

upper

tension

so

that

top

surface

will

look

smooth

at

the

expense of the bottom surface.
