THE ADJUSTABLE CORDING

AND ZIPPER FOOT

This attachment is used to make and

insert

covered

cording,

and

to

sew

in

zippers.

Loosen

thumb

screw

to

slide

foot to either right or left of needle.

CORDING. Fold bias strip of fabric

over

cord.

Loosen

thumb

screw

and

set foot so needle is centered in needle

hole.

Machine

baste

cord

in

place

(Fig. 34).

To

sew

covered

cord

to

material,

reset

adjustable

foot

so

needle

stitches

and on edge of base fabric.

Loosen thumb screw and slide foot so needle enters

center

of

needle

hole.

Guide

Stitching

should

be

close

to

zipper

to

allow

easy

opening

Adjust

to

sew

from

either

right

or

left

side,

whichever

is

more

convenient.
