Tire Pressure

1. Use an automotive-type tire gauge to
check the air pressure in ali four tires.

Front tires.............. from 12 to 15 PSI (82

to 103 kPa) equally inflated.

Rear tires................from 8 to 10 PSI (55 to

68 kPa) equally inflated.

DO NOT OVER-INFLATE.

Front to Rear Leveling

1. Check tire pressure as explained above.

2. Place mower lift lever (I, page 18) to
the lower (DOWN) position so deck is in
cutting position.

3. Adjust mower height adjusting knob
(G, Fig. 23) so the mower blades are
approximately 2-1/2" from the ground.

4. Align a cutting blade so tips point to
the front and rear of the unit. Measure
distance from ground to tips of blade. (R,

Fig. 22). Both tips should be the same
distance from the ground. If they are not,

adjust front rod (A, Fig. 22) as necessary.

Place mower lift lever into the raised (UP)
position to adjust. Lower mower again to
recheck level.

Side to Side Leveling

1. Align a cutting blade so tips point from

side to side of the unit.

2. Measure distance from ground to tips
of blade. Both tips should be the same
distance from the ground. If they are not,

remove lift rod from mower deck and push
lift rod up through frame so nuts (D, Fig

22) are accessible. Adjust nuts (D) as

necessary. Re-attach lift rods and re­
check level. Repeat as necessary.
