7. Re-tighten belt guide (H) 1/16“ (.15 cm)
away from drive belt.

8. With the mower in the highest setting,
check clearance between belt at point (AA).

If there is not at least a 1’ (2.5 cm) gap,
move mower ahead by adjusting pivot
location on lift arms (E, Fig. 45). It may be
necessary to adjust rod (A, Fig. 45) to ievel
mower.

9. With mower blade drive engaged, belt
guide (Y) shouid not contact drive belt.

10. Check to see if mower is levei and

adjust if necessary (See page 16).

33” Mower Drive Belt
Replacement

1. Loosen belt guides (A & B Fig. 42 and
(P, Fig. 45).

2. Rotate idierarm (C) away from puiley

(R). Replace belt (Z) with new belt.

3. Route belt between idler (Q) and belt
guide (A). Place guide (A) in approximate
position shown and secure.

4. Place new belt into groove of stationary
idler (E) and secure belt guide (B) in rear
of slot as shown.

5. Place new belt into groove of engine
pulley and assemble belt guide (P, Fig. 45)
as far forward as possible. Re-tighten
guide (P). Check clearance between guide

(P) and bolt heads on differential. A gap
of 1/8" should exist

6. Lift mower blade drive lever (F, page
17) to engage drive.

7. With the mower in the highest setting,
check clearance between belt at point (AA,

Fig. 44) If there is not at least a 1" (2.5
cm) gap, move mower ahead by adjusting
pivot location on lift arms (E Fig. 45).

8. Check to see if mower is level and
adjust if necessary (See
