Whenever you see this symbol, read and obey the safety

PREVENTING ACCIDENTS IS THE

RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY EQUIPMENT

OPERATOR. THE OPERATOR IS

RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS OR

HAZARDS OCCURRING TO OTHER

PEOPLE OR THEIR PROPERTY. THE

FOLLOWING GENERAL SAFETY

PRECAUTIONS MUST BE FULLY

UNDERSTOOD AND FOLLOWED WHEN

OPERATING YOUR RIDING MOWER.

REVIEW THEM FREQUENTLY AND NEVER

TAKE CHANCES. BE CAREFUL BEFORE,

DURING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE

OF ANY POWERED EQUIPMENT.

ACCIDENTS CAN BE PREVENTED.

1. Before operating the unit;

a. Read this owner/operator manual, the

separate engine owner’s manual, and
any other literature you may have

received.

b. Be thoroughly familiar with the

controls and proper use of the unit.

c. Read all literature furnished with any

attachments used on the unit.

d. Know how to stop the unit and

disengage its controls quickly in case
of an emergency.

2. NEVER allow children to operate the

unit. Local regulations may restrict the
age of the operator.

3. Do not allow adults to operate the unit

without proper instruction.

4. Never allow irresponsible adults to

operate the unit.

5. Keep the area of operation clear of all

persons (particularly small children)
and pets.

GENERAL OPERATION

1. Thoroughly inspect the area where the

unitwill be used:

a. Remove all stones, sticks, wires,

bones, and other foreign objects.

Tall grass can hide obstacles.

b. Inspect the area for holes, ruts, or

bumps. Uneven terrain could
overturn the unit.

2. Wear proper clothing before operating

the unit:
