Load Coils Test
Load Coils Test
The Load Coils test allows you to detect the presence of load coils, which
are detrimental to the use of DSL technologies on the line. If a load coil is
detected, use the time domain reflectometry (TDR) test to quickly locate
and remove it from the cable.
Load Coils
The load coils function detects the presence of load coils in the cable
section, counts them, and displays frequency response in graphical form.
The page also displays the number of load coils in text and graphical
format.
To access Load Coils page:
1. From the Copper main menu Test Groups, select Signal test
.
2. From the Tests menu, select Load Coils test to start the test.
By default, Load Coils page opens.
3. Use the graph controls to maneuver the graph. Refer to Graph Controls
on page 19 for more information.
