16 Impulse Tests
The purpose of the impulse tests is to count, view, capture, and analyze VF
and Wideband impulse noise events on the line under test. Use the VF
Impulse Noise and WB Impulse Noise tests to count impulse events over
time that exceed the configured noise level threshold.
The Impulse Scope displays and captures impulse noises in the time
domain so you can analyze impulse duration and frequency. Both
continuous and capture/trigger modes are provided.
The Impulse Duration and Disruption (IDD) tests capture and show the
distribution and accumulation of impulse noise durations over time in a
histogram.
To access Impulse tests:
From the Copper main menu Test Groups, select Impulse test.
