Directions for Use

WARNING:
1. This device should only be used by trained

personnel in accordance with the Directions

for Use.

2. Single patient use.
3. Prior to use, inspect all parts to ensure they are

free of damage and working properly.

4. Short term use only. Remove after 24 hours.
5. Patient should be constantly monitored while

this product is in use.

Indications for use: Designed to secure single and double-lumen airway tubes
and reduce the risk of accidental dislodgement.

Indications for use: Designed to secure single and double-lumen airway tubes after insertion
into the trachea, and reduce the risk of extubation.

1. Slide tube into V-wedge.
2. Advance bite block into patient's mouth.
3. Run slide stick under patient's neck
and then through the other side of holder.

PLEASE NOTE: Apply just enough pressure against
the tube to hold securely in place. Use firm but
sensible pressure. Overtightening may cause the tube
to fully or partially close and prevent proper air flow.

4. Secure Velcro strap.
5. Tighten screw clamp securely against tube.

PLEASE NOTE: If necessary, position removable
hook tab on Velcro strap to accommodate smaller
head or neck size.

Thomas Endotracheal Tube Holder

Indicaciones de uso: Diseñado para sujetar en su sitio el
tubo endotraqueal una vez insertado éste en la traquea y
reducir el riesgo de extubación.

1. Deslizar el tubo endotraqueal dentro de la cuña en V.
2. Avanzar el abreboca dentro de la boca del paciente.
3. Apretar la abrazadera atornillable con firmeza contra
el tubo.

ADVERTENCIA: Aplicar al tubo endotraqueal sólo la
presión necesaria como para sujetarlo en su sitio. Aplicar la
presión con firmeza pero razonablemente. No es necesario
ajustar en exceso la abrazadera atornillable.

4. Pasar la varilla deslizable por debajo del cuello del
paciente y luego a través del otro extremo del soporte.
5. Sujetar la tira de velcro.

ADVERTENCIA: Si fuera necesario para acomodar la
cabeza de los pacientes más pequeños poner la presilla de
quita y pon del gancho sobre la tira.

6. Ajustar la tira con una fuerza de sujeción adecuada.

OBSERVACIÓN:
Para los pacientes con cuello pequeño puede ser necesario
el uso de la presilla de quita y pon del gancho para sujetar
bien la tira de velcro.

Recommandations : conçu pour maintenir en place la
sonde endotrachéale après introduction dans la trachée
afin de réduire le risque d’extubation

1. Introduire le sonde ET dans la rainure en V.
2. Introduire l’embout dentaire dans la bouche du patient.
3. Visser fermement la pince contre la sonde.

ATTENTION : Serrer juste assez la pince pour que la
sonde endotrachéale reste en place. La pression sur la
pince doit être ferme sans être excessive.

4. Faire passer la sangle sous la nuque du patient et
l’introduire dans la boucle de l’autre côté du fixateur
de sonde.
5. Fixer au moyen de la bande Velcro.

ATTENTION : Si nécessaire, raccourcir la sangle au moyen
du dispositif amovible fourni.

6. Serrer la sangle de manière appropriée pour assurer un
maintien ferme.

REMARQUE :
Pour les patients au cou mince, assurer une bonne fixation
de la fermeture Velcro au moyen du dispositif amovible.

Instruções de utilização: concebido para apoiar o tubo ET
no devido lugar depois de introduzi-lo na traqueia,
reduzindo o risco para extubação.

1. Faça deslizar o tubo ET para a cunha em V.
2. Coloque o bloco para morder na boca do paciente.
3. Aperte firmemente a braçadeira roscada contra o tubo.

NOTA : Os pacientes com pescoços pequenos podem
necessitar de presilha em gancho removível para prender
firmemente a tira de Velcro.

4. Faça deslizar a vareta debaixo do pescoço e,
em seguida, através do outro lado do suporte.
5. Aperte a tira de Velcro.

NOTA : Aplique pressão suficiente contra o tubo ET para
prendê-lo adequadamente na respectiva posição. Pressione
de uma forma firme, mas sensível. Nгo й necessário
apertar excessivamente a braçadeira roscada.

6. Ajuste a tira adequadamente.

NOTA : Se necessário, posicione a presilha em gancho para
acomodar a pacientes com a cabeça mais pequena.

facing towards the patient’s feet, slide the tube

into V-wedge.

2. Advance bite block into patient’s mouth ensuring

lips are not caught between the teeth

and bite block.

3. Run slide stick under patient’s neck

and then through the other side of holder.

PLEASE NOTE: Apply just enough pressure against the
tube to hold securely in place. Use firm but sensible
pressure. Overtightening may cause the tube to fully or
partially close and prevent proper air flow.

4. Remove the slide stick and secure

the fastening strap.

5. Tighten screw clamp securely against tube.

PLEASE NOTE:
If necessary, position removable hook tab on strap to
accommodate smaller head or neck size.

It is important that the tube airway device is properly
placed or positioned and the fastening strap secured
before tightening the screw clamp.
