2 Common
2.1 Scope of delivery
• 1 × 8PSK/QPSK-QAM twin module SKQ 2-01
• 1 × DC connection cable SKZ 4-00
• 1 × operating manual
The remote control and power supply unit are not included in scope of delivery of SKQ 2-01. They
are available optionally or integrated in the basic unit of SKS x-xx.
2.2 Description
The SKQ 2-01 can either be operated in a head ends basic unit SKS x-xx or in stand alone mode. The
Remux transmodular twin modules are 8PSK/QPSK converters that convert all programs modulated
according to the DVB-S standard in QAM modulated cable signals. Each module has two digital SAT-ZF
inputs and two HF outputs. The twin modules include two ducts working independently from each other.
A duct comprises a digital tuner, the digital signal processing and an output modulator.

The ducts (1 and 2) can decode encoded programs using a CA module. The twin module programming
is realized individually in each duct and via an OSD menu (On Screen Display). Processed input signals
are led to the output collection field of the basic units through HF output connectors.
