5.2.2.1.5 (CONFIG) INTF: Optical
If the CONFIG: Intf menu displays NONE, then the optional Optical Gigabit
Ethernet Interface SFP is either NOT plugged into the J7 | OPTICAL socket, or the
Optical Gigabit Ethernet Interface FAST Access Code is not activated. See Sect.
3.2.3.2 for further information about this optional interface.
5.2.2.2 CONFIG: Tx

On the top line, use the W X arrow keys to select IF, Freq, Power, Frame, Mod, Data, or Pilot,
and then press ENTER. The read‐only bottom line displays the current operating values.

First, use the W X arrow keys to select Tx Carrier, Spectrum Invert, or Txα. On the top line, use
the ST arrow keys to set the Tx Carrier as On or Off.
On the bottom line:
• Use the ST arrow keys to set the Spectrum Invert as On or Off.
When the CDM‐750 is in CnC (Carrier‐in‐Carrier) mode, the modem itself
will determine the Tx spectral inversion. The operator will not have control
of spectral inversion selection while CnC mode is ON and any changes to
this field will be rejected.
• Use the ST arrow keys to set the Txα (Tx Rolloff). Valid selections are .20 (20%), .25
(25%) or .35 (35%) – the default Txα setting is .20 (20%).
Press ENTER when done.
