Warning
SR Ivocron Opaquer Liquid, as well as the Cold, Hot, and
Press Liquids contain methyl methacrylate. MMA is
irritant and highly flammable (flash point: 10 °C/50 °F). Do
not inhale vapours. The material irritates eyes, respiratory
organs, and skin. Skin contact may lead to sensitization. For
further information, please refer to the EEC safety data
sheet (or MSDS).

Cold technique (pouring technique)

With the Cold Liquid, SR Ivocron may be used for short- and
medium-term temporaries, securing of ground denture
teeth, and repair of PMMA.

Temporaries

Designing the model, wax-up, and silicone key
Fabricate the working model from die stone. Produce the
wax-up and check shape and function. After that, a silicone
key is made.

Isolation
Boil out the wax and block out undercuts with pink wax.
Then, immerse the model in water for 5 minutes. Apply two
layers of Separating Fluid. Wait until the surface is no longer
shiny before applying the second layer.

Tip
Slightly rough or undercut dies may be isolated and
blocked out with the elastic SR Ivocron Separator isolating
gel. Apply SR Ivocron Separator and allow to dry for
approx. 5 minutes.

Incisal and Dentin
Mix the corresponding SR Ivocron incisal material in a small,
clean rubber cup, cover it, and let it sit for approx.
2–3 minutes. Use the same procedure for the Dentin
material. Apply the Incisal material in the incisal area of the
silione key, while it is still flowable. As soon as the Incisal
material stops flowing, the silicone key is filled up with
Dentin material. Reposition the filled silicone key on the
isolated model and hold it in place with a rubber band.

Polymerization
Polymerization is carried out in the pressure apparatus
(e.g. Ivomat) for 15 minutes at 40–50 °C (104–122 °F) and
2–6 bar pressure (29–85 psi).
