8. Finishing/Checking the occlusion/Polishing
After polymerization, remove excess material with suitable
finishers or fine diamonds. Remove proximal excess with
flexible disks, finishing strips, diamond-coated files, or
diamond or tungsten carbide finishers. Check occlusion and
articulation and, if necessary, adjust by grinding.
Subsequently, polish the restoration to a high gloss
with silicone polishers (e.g. Politip P, Astropol P), as well
as polishing disks, and polishing strips.
Note
– Working time:
Compoglass Flow is sensitive to blue light and
prematurely polymerizes in the presence of blue light.
For that reason, avoid intensive light during application.
Therefore, turn away operatory light or reduce its power.
Warning
If uncured Compoglass Flow restorative or bonding agent
accidentally come in contact with the eyes, rinse
immediately with copious amounts of water. See a
physician if necessary. After contact with the skin,
thoroughly wash with soap and water.
Unpolymerized material may cause slight irritation when
coming in contact with the mucous membrane. This
irritation is reversible. Frequent contact of skin with
uncured material may cause sensitivity in people with a
corresponding predisposition.
Storage
– Do not use Compoglass Flow after the indicated date of
expiration.
– Store Compoglass Flow at 2–28 °C (23–82 °F)
– Once the aluminium bag is open, Compoglass Flow
remains usable for 2 months. The material has to
be used within this period of time.
– Close Cavifil immediately after use. Exposure to light
causes premature polymerization
– Shelf life: see date of expiration on the packaging
Keep out of the reach of children.
