Speaker On/Off

The Marquis JM60/JM120 include the option of disabling the speaker. This is not done automatically when the headphone jack is engaged
because the headphone jack doubles as a direct output. So, for those times when you need to practice quietly through headphones, simply
set the speaker on/off switch on the rear panel to the “off” position. The JM60/JM120 will not pass any sound to the speaker but will
continue to drive the headphone output.

Effects Loop

The JM60/JM120 include a stereo effects loop. On the rear panel of the JM60/JM120 you will find a single FX Send jack and a single FX
Return jack. These are both TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) jacks. On both of these jacks, the tip is left (internal speaker on the JM60), and the ring is
right (external speaker on the JM60). You will need 2 stereo “Y” cords to utilize the stereo sends and returns.

FX Send
The effect send is a stereo output from the JM60/JM120’s preamp. These would be connected to the inputs of an external effect device of
your choosing. The input level of the external effects processor will need to be adjusted to prevent clipping.

FX Return
The effect returns are stereo inputs to the power amp of the JM60/JM120. These would be connected to the outputs of an external effect
device.

Note: The Marquis JM60/JM120 is designed for use of rack mount type effects only. Use of effect pedals in the FX loop
is not recommended as they are not generally designed to handle the line level output produced at the FX send jack.
