Print Recovery after a Jam

If the media should jam in the printer, during the run, it is possible to recover up to 9 pieces
(records) that might be lost.
If a jam occurs, the printer control panel will display:
“Jam: Reprint Lost Pieces”
“MENU To Continue”

To recover the lost pieces, clear the jam and then do the following:

1. Press the MENU key and the “Address Recovery” option will appear.

2. Press the ENTER key and the following display will appear “Enter: Recover 1 piece”.

3. Use the + key to select the number of pieces you wish to recover up to 9.

Count the number of pieces you wish to recover and then add 1 or 2 for the pieces
(records) that are in the buffer.

4. Press the ENTER key to register (accept) the number of pieces to be recovered.

5. Press the ENTER key to start the feeder. The printer will reprint the number of records

you selected and continue printing the rest of the job as normal.

6. You may repeat this process a many times as required.

NOTE: The address recovery feature will not work within the first 20 records of the job or
after the last record has printed. If a jam should occur during the first 20 records, see “How to
Cancel a Print Job”.

How to Cancel a Print Job:

1. Stop sending data from the software. Cancel the job.

2. Press and hold the REST button on the printer until the display goes blank, then release

this key.

3. Make sure the software has stopped sending data.

4. Clear the spooler. Clear all pending documents from the printer driver.

5. Press and hold the REST button on the printer until the display goes blank, then release

this key.

6. Re-send the job.
