Delete and Disk Cleanup for Macintosh Volumes

The Project Delete function (accessed by using SHIFT + LOAD TRACK) and the Disk Cleanup
function (Setup Menu 720) now work for Macintosh HFS disks in Version 3.0. The Delete
command will Delete the selected Session or OMF file from a Macintosh volume. The Disk
Cleanup command will delete all Sound Designer II files that are not being referenced by a Pro
Tools Session or an OMF Composition. This command will also delete all linear fade files created
by a ProTools Session. Users should make sure there are no other SDII files that they wish to keep
(such as raw SDII sound libraries not referenced by an EDL) on a Macintosh disk before using this
command. Warning: this command cannot be undone.

Show Mounted SCSI Devices

Setup Menu 790 shows a list of SCSI ID numbers for all mounted SCSI drives. This is an
information display only, and has no parameters which can be set by the user.

Clip LED Display Option

Setup Menu 522 allows for setting whether the Clip LED indicator will show clipping only for
record tracks or for both record and playback tracks. This feature was requested so that mixers
using the MM-RC will not be bothered by having the Clip LED over the REC key indicate level
clipping when the clipping occurs only on a playback track, not on a track which is in record.

of this menu to On.

Pro Tools Performance

The speed of mounting Macintosh volumes with a large number of audio files, OMF Compositions,
or Pro Tools Sessions has been dramatically improved.
