Chapter 5. Host Circuit Configuration
Configuring the Host Circuits
Prior to configuring Host Circuits, you should have already configured the
ESCON/FICON CUs. Each CU defined on the CCA-3074 represents a logical controller
definition, with each device assigned to that logical controller represented by a
subchannel. Internally each controller is referred to as a host circuit, and more
specifically as a non-SNA (NSNA) Host Circuit. There is a one-to-one correspondence
between each NSNA CU and NSNA Host Circuit. Host Circuit assignments are created
and defined by selecting the [NSNA Host Circuits] button on the Connectivity
Configuration panel as shown below.
