Using the BrightEye Control Application
The BrightEye PC and BrightEye Mac applications (version 2.1.2 or later) included on CD-ROM
are designed to allow you to configure and control the BrightEye 57 from a personal computer.
Instructions for installing and using this software application are given in the PDF manual on the CD-
ROM.
If the BrightEye 57 is connected to a computer running this software, the menus discussed on the
following pages are available for controlling and monitoring the unit.
Format Menu
To select the output format of the Test Signal and Sync Pulse Generator, select the Format menu
shown below. Use the drop-down menus to set the parameters for the Standard, Mode, and HD
Format fields.
• Standard – select the output standard you want to use. Choices are:
NTSC, PAL
• Mode – select the mode you want to use. Choices are:
SD, HD, 3G
• HD Format – select the HD Format. Choices are:
1080i, 720p, 1080p, 1080sF
• 1080p Frame Rate – select the 1080p Frame Rate. Choices are: 1080p - 23/24 fps,
1080p - 29/30 fps. Applicable only when 1080p is selected from the HD Format control.
The remaining fields, SDI Format, Cpst Format, and TLS Format, are status indicators. They are not
editable. They reflect the format selections made in the Standard, Mode and HD Format menus.
