Creating a Playlist
You need to create a playlist before you can play clips to air. There are two
ways to create a playlist: by linking clips to an NCS rundown or by manually
creating a playlist in NewsQ Pro.
Linking to a NCS Rundown
If you use a newsroom computer system such as ENPS or iNews to create news
rundowns, you can link to the NCS rundown and create a playlist automatically.
To open an NCS rundown:
• Select a rundown from the drop-down list and click Open Rundown .
The rundown opens in the NewsQ Pro application, displays all clips in the
rundown, and cues clips to channels if specified by automatic channel
assignment. The playlist displays a headframe for each clip; a red border
appears around clips that are not yet ready for playback.
