Quality
The Quality sets the quality (compression) at which the image is
captured. The quality determines the amount of compression
applied to your images. Fine quality would give you the best
images with sharper details and less compression. However, the
higher the quality, the more memory space is required in your
memory card.
Icon Item Description
Superfine 4x compression rate.
Fine 6x compression rate.
Normal 8x compression rate.
Refine image
This function applies different settings or tones to refine still
images.
• In Custom and B&W options, press or keys to
move the cursor between each field.
• For each field, press or keys or rotate the
Command dial to select options.
Icon Item Description
Normal The camera records normally.
Softer Images are captured with soft effect.
Vivid
The camera captures the image with more contrast and saturation
emphasizing on the bold colors.
More Vivid The camera captures the image with much more vivid effect.
Portrait Images are captured with settings especially for portrait.
Custom Customize your preferred settings to refine images.
B&W Images are captured in black and white.
