Operating Instructions

A. Before Lighting Fireplace

Before operating this fi replace, have a qualifi ed
technician:

• Remove all shipping materials from inside the fi rebox.

• Review proper placement of logs and lava rock.

• Check the wiring and batteries.

• Check the air shutter adjustment.

• Ensure that there are no gas leaks.

• Ensure that the fl ow of combustion and ventilation air is

not obstructed (front grilles).

• Switch must be in position shown in Figure 9.1 in order

for remote control to operate properly.

B. Operating Cautions

• DO NOT PLACE ARTICLES ON OR AGAINST THE

APPLIANCE.

• DO NOT USE OR STORE FLAMMABLE MATERIALS

NEAR THE APPLIANCE.

• DO NOT SPRAY AEROSOLS IN THE VICINITY OF THE

APPLIANCE WHILE IT IS IN OPERATION.

• TO BE INSTALLED ONLY BY AN AUTHORIZED

PERSON.

• THIS APPLIANCE SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED OR USED

INDOORS.

• THE GUARD IS FITTED TO THIS APPLIANCE TO

REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR INJURY FROM BURNS,
AND NO PART OF IT SHOULD BE REMOVED.

• Certain materials, when stored near the appliance, will be

subjected to radiant heat and could be damaged.
