Display assembly

NOTE:

The display assembly spare part kit includes the display panel cable, webcamera/

microphone module and cable, and 2 wireless antenna cables and transceivers.

Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:

1.

Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.

Remove the battery (see

Battery on page 39

).

5.

Remove the subwoofer (see

Subwoofer on page 41

).

6.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the WLAN module (see

WLAN module on page 48

).

7.

Remove the hard drive (see

Hard drive on page 51

).

8.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless audio module (see

Wireless audio module

on page 54

).

9.

Remove the top cover (see

Top cover on page 56

).

Remove the display assembly:

1.

Close the computer.

2.

Turn the computer upside down, with the front toward you.

3.

Release the wireless audio module antenna cables (1) from the clips and routing channel built into
the base enclosure.
