iSCSI SR2122 Storage Router: Getting Started Guide

The FC ports emulate a FC HBA on the SAN fabric. Create a zone on each fabric that includes
the SR2122 FC port and the storage controllers you want the SR2122 to access.

Setup for EMA/ESA12000, EMA16000, MA/RA8000, MA6000

If the ports of HSG80 controller-based storage are zoned with both Node A and Node B
SR2122 routers, the storage will see two paths or connections per SR2122 FC port for a total
of 4 connections. These connections are treated much the same way as any host accessing
EMA/ESA12000, EMA16000, MA/RA8000, MA6000 storage using the storage controller's
selective storage presentation feature.

Rename these connections in the connection table for ease of identification. For example:

Note:

If the HSG80-based storage array’s connection table is implementing offsets, please set the

same offset number for each SR2122 connection entry.

After creating LUNs, either using the HSG Element Manager GUI or through the HSG's CLI
commands, present them to both the Node A and Node B connections.

A rescan either through the SR2122 management GUI within the Monitor Window or through
the CLI command "Show Devices Rediscover" will now show the newly presented HSG80
LUNs.

Setup for EVA

If the EVA ports (HSV110, HSV100 controllers) are zoned with both Node A and Node B
SR2122 routers, the EVa will see one WWID per SR2122 FC port for a total of two WWIDs.
These WWIDs are treated much the same way as any host accessing storage on the EVA using
the EVA controller's selective storage presentation.

Using the Command View for EVA GUI, create a host name for each SR2122 node and assign
its respective FC port WWIDS to it. For example:

Using the Command View for EVA GUI, create LUNs and present both SR2122 Host Names
to each LUN.

A rescan either through the SR2122 management GUI within the Monitor Window or through
the CLI command "Show Devices Rediscover" will now show the newly presented EVA
LUNs.
