bearings: the bearings are sealed and pre-
lubricated; they require no lubrication.

trunnions: Use multi-purpose grease in the trun-
nion grooves (

figure 112) every 6–12 months,

depending on the frequency of use. to grease
the blade height trunnion, move the blade height
all the way down and smear a dab of grease into
the trunnion groove, behind the plate shown in
figure 112, then move the blade up all the way,
then down all the way to spread the grease.

to grease the blade tilt trunnions, move the slid-
ing table out of the way and open the blade guard.
tilt the blade to 90°. From the front of the saw,
smear a dab of grease in the front of the trunnion
grooves on both sides. now, tilt the blade to 45°
and reach inside the cabinet and smear a dab of
grease into the back of the trunnion grooves on
both sides. tilt the blade back and forth to distrib-
ute the grease evenly.

leadscrews: Use multi-purpose grease on the
leadscrews (

figure 112) every 6-12 months, at

the same time you lubricate the trunnions. Wipe
the leadscrews clean with a dry rag and brush a
light coat of new grease on them with a clean,
dry brush. only grease the area of the leadscrew
between the stop nuts. Move the blade height and
tilt back and forth to distribute the grease evenly.

sliding table Ways & rip fence rail: Wipe on
a light machine oil (such as Boeshield shown on

page 56) down the entire length of the sliding
table steel rods (

figure 111) and rip fence rail.
