Gearbox Oil
With regular use, the oil in the gearbox must be
drained and replaced every six months.

To change the gearbox oil:
1. disCoNNeCt saW From poWer!
2. raise the saw handle to the up-most posi-
tion.
3. hold the drain pan under the oil drain plug,
then remove the oil drain plug ( figure 53).
4. allow all of the oil to drain out.
5. replace the oil drain plug.
6. remove the oil fill plug and refill the gearbox
with standard automotive 85w-140 gear oil
until it is full.
7. replace the oil fill plug.
