CONNECTING TO THE PERSONAL COMPUTER

By dragging and dropping the data, you can copy the images from the CF
card to the appropriate location of your computer and vice versa in “My
Computer” or “Explorer” on Windows

®

or in the finder on Macintosh.

* When the icon of the “Removable disk” is not displayed or when the removable media

is not mounted, restart your computer.

* The image file is saved in the “100mlt02” folder of the “Dcim” folder of the removable

disk (media).

* For the operation of copying a file in “My computer”, “Explorer” or in the finder, refer to

the operating instruction manual supplied with the computer, “Help”, etc.

When this camera cannot be connected to the computer cor-
rectly, check the followings:

• Is the camera set to the PC connecting mode ?

Rotate the function dial to PC and turn on the power of the
camera. (See page 132)

• Is the power of the camera turned on ?

Connect them when the power of the camera and the computer is
turned on.

• Is the CF card inserted into the camera ?

Insert the CF card into the camera correctly. (See page 28)

• Is the USB cable connected to the USB connector of the camera and the

USB port of the computer securely ?

Connect the USB cable securely. (See page 133)

• Is the camera connected to the computer via the USB hub ?

Connect to the USB port of the computer directly. Otherwise, the
operation may not be performed correctly depending on the
condition of other USB equipment or the USB hub.

If there is no problem with the items described above, connect the
camera to the computer again following the procedure described on
page 132.
