The image cannot be
played back on the
LCD monitor.

The image recorded in
the flash mode is dark.

Is the power of the camera
turned off?

Are the batteries
exhausted?

Are the batteries inserted
with the correct polarity?

Is the CF card is inserted
in the
camera? (Is “NO CARD”
displayed on the LCD
monitor?)

The auto power off function
activates.

Is the focus lamp (green)
blinks slowly (about 2 times
in a second) and “PLAY
BACK” blinks on the LCD
monitor?

Did you take a picture
within the flash range?

Rotate the function dial to

and slide the power

switch to turn on the
camera.

Replace all four batteries or
use the AC adapter (sold
separately).

Remove the batteries and
then insert the batteries by
following the +/– diagram
indicated in front of the
battery-chamber door.

When “NO CARD” is
displayed on the LCD
monitor and “CF” is
displayed on the data
panel, the CF card is not
set. Insert the CF card.

Slide the power switch to
turn on the camera again.

The camera reads out the
image data from the CF
card. Wait until the reading
is completed and the focus
lamp and “PLAY BACK”
stop blinking.

Take a picture within the
flash range (0.4 to 3 m).
