Watching one program while
recording another

Engage TV mode
During recording...
● Change the TV’s input mode from AV to TV.

Select channel for viewing
Select the channel you want to watch, on the TV.
Showing on-screen display
When “SUPERIMPOSE” is set to “ON” ( ੬ pg. 57), you
can see the current VCR status on the TV screen.

display, see page 85.

Display VCR status on TV screen
During recording or
recording pause, press
OSD on the Remote.
All indications
corresponding to the
current VCR status are
displayed for 5
seconds.
The time counter remains on the screen indicating
the elapsed time.
● The indications are not recorded.

Exit on-screen display
Press OSD again.
NOTES:
● The subtitles does not appear while the on-screen display is
displayed.
● If the VCR is in recording pause mode, “
¶8
” is always
displayed.
● The VCR status can be also displayed during playback.
● Even if “SUPERIMPOSE” is set to “OFF” ( ੬ pg. 57), the on-
screen display appears when the VCR plays back the blank
portion of a tape and the VCR receives the channel which has
no broadcast. However, on-screen display does not appear
when the input location is selected and no signal is input.
