Movie Rating
The movie rating system is defined as follows:
G - General audience. Suitable for all ages.
PG - Parental guidance recommended. Some parents may consider some elements of the movie
not to be suitable for children.
PG-13 - Parents strongly cautioned. Some parents may consider some elements of the movie
to be unsuitable for children under the age of 13.
R - Restricted. Viewers under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian
(age level may vary in some areas).
NC-17 - No viewers under the age of 17 are permitted.
X - An obsolete rating that has now been replaced by NC-17.
To lock movie programs:
1. Enable the V-Chip function, following the procedures
listed in the “Turning the V-Chip on” section.
2. Press the UP/DOWN ( / ) button to select “MAPP”, then
ENTER to confirm.
A MAPP rating system screen appears.
3. Press the ENTER button to enable the movie ratings
control.
4. Press the UP/DOWN ( / ) button to select a rating you
would like to adjust.
The selected item is highlighted in color.
5. Press the LEFT/RIGHT ( / ) button to lock ( ) or unlock
( ) content programs.
6. Press the MENU button twice to exit the menu.
