DS4100

has

blank

trays

in

the

unused

drive

bays.

To

begin

installing

new

drives,

you

must

first

remove

the

blank

trays

and

save

them.

Each

of

the

14

bays

must

always

contain

either

a

blank

tray

or

a

drive

CRU.

You

can

install

up

to

14

hot-swap

drive

CRUs

in

the

storage

server.

chassis.

A

flashing

green

LED

indicates

drive

activity.

A

solid

green

LED

indicates

that

the

drive

is

properly

installed

and

powered

on.

amber

LED

indicates

a

drive

failure.

A

flashing

indicates

that

identify

process

is

in

progress.

error.
