External Keyboard (LF-X1 only)

TV and video

LocationFreeTV does not respond.

Turn the power off and then on again.

Cannot turn off the Monitor or base
station power.

Hold down the power button for at least 3 seconds. This will force it to
turn off.

Password error occurs.

Make sure you have correctly entered all upper and lower case letters. The
password field differentiates between upper and lower case.

Battery runs out immediately.

The battery may be damaged or in need of replacement.
Battery capacity gradually decreases with each recharging. Battery life is
also shortened when the battery is used at extremely high temperatures
(

1 page 27).

(Battery charge) indicator does not

turn on.

• Check that the battery is inserted. (When the AC adapter is connected,

the AC adapter indicator appears instead of the battery indicator.)

• The battery may need replacement.
• The indicator does not turn on when the battery is fully charged.
• For the LF-X5, the battery cannot be charged when the monitor power

is on. Turn the monitor off to charge the battery.

(Battery charge) indicator flashes.

• There may be a problem with the battery. Disconnect the AC power

adapter. Remove the battery and reinstall it. If the problem persists,
contact your Sony dealer.

• The battery will not charge if the temperature is not between 32°F to

95°F (0°C to 35°C).

Clock is incorrect.

The built-in battery used to keep the clock accurate may be dead. When
this happens, the clock will stop once the monitor’s rechargeable battery
depletes. Contact your Sony dealer for more information on replacing the
built-in clock battery.

Keys on an external keyboard do not

• Make sure the text entry field is selected.
• Make sure the connector from the keyboard is securely connected.

Cannot use some keys on an external
keyboard.

• You may not be able to use some keys with the LF-X1.
• A USB type keyboard with a hub may not operate correctly.
