• Maximum conventional towing capacity is 12,500 lbs. for Single Rear Wheel
(SRW) models with either the 6.4L Power Stroke ® V-8 or the 6.8L Triton ®
V-10 engines
• Maximum conventional towing capacity is best-in-class (2) 16,000 lbs. for
F-450 Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) models with the 6.4L Power Stroke engine
• 15K and 16K hitch receivers come with a 2.5-inch to 2.0-inch adapter.
Maximum tow capacity is decreased to 12,500 lbs. for those using a
2-inch drawbar
• Ford is the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to have a 2.5-inch
hitch receiver for improved towing security with trailers over 12,500 lbs.
