Removing the grilles

The grille can be removed from the AV 5110 for painting.

Use a sharp pin or paper clip to prise the grille out, and remove the anti-

vibration mat.

Replace the anti-vibration mat, and refit the grille by pressing it carefully

back into position, taking care not to bend it.

Painting the AV 5110

The AV 5110 loudspeaker can be painted, if you want to match it to the

colour of your wall. You can use any non solvent based paint, and suitable

paints are acrylic and emulsion paints. We recommend that you spray

paint it to avoid leaving brush strokes.

Before painting the loudspeaker you should remove the grille as described

in

Removing the grilles, above. Mask the middle section of the speaker,

which is concealed by the grille, and the input terminals. You can now

paint the cabinet and the grille. Leave the AV 5110 and grille to dry, as

recommended in the paint manufacturer’s instructions. Then remove the

masking and refit the grille.
