The key parameters of the AV 5150 can be adjusted to suit the room, and

the system with which it is used, using the switches which can be accessed

by removing the panel.

Removing the panel

The AV 5150 gain control and option switches are protected by a metal

panel, which is located on four pins. To remove the panel pull it gently

outwards.

To refit the panel line up the four pins on the metalwork with the four

mounting bushes on the door, and push it firmly back into place.

Adjusting the frequency response

The upper frequency response of the AV 5150 (low pass filter) is set by the

left-hand bank of switches. The low pass filter should be set to

complement the low frequency response of the main speaker system. Very

small main speakers will need the AV 5150 to respond to higher

frequencies than large main speakers.

Set the switches as follows, where a switch is shown in black:
