The AV 5150 operates over the frequency range from 15Hz to 100Hz. In

theory, because the wavelengths associated with this frequency range

(20m to 3m) are so large, the positioning of the AV 5150 with respect to

the other speakers in the system should not be critical. However, for the

best music reproduction keep the AV 5150 within a few meters of the main

system speakers. This is especially true if the AV 5150 is set to operate up

to its maximum bandwidth, or if it is being used with very small main

speakers.

The versatile design of the AV 5150 allows it to be used either horizontally

or vertically, for floor-standing, rack, or video-wall mounting.

Fitting the casters

The AV 5150 is supplied with casters, which you can fit to make it easier to

move the loudspeaker.

Screw each caster into the recessed threaded hole in each corner of the

base of the loudspeaker.

Fitting spikes

If you are positioning the loudspeaker on a carpeted floor we recommend

you fit the spikes supplied with the loudspeaker, as these will penetrate

the pile of the carpet and avoid damaging the carpet, while also giving a

more stable performance.
