Customizing Your Navigation System
• Summer Time
On :
Summer time is taken into account.
Off *:
Summer time is not taken into account.
❒ When the period of summer time comes, or
when the summer time ends, the navigation
system does not automatically change the
summer time setting.

Adjust Display Position
The display position of the screen is adjusted.
Adjust to the optimal position by moving the joy-
stick. Make sure that all four corners of the dis-
play are visible.
KM/Mile Setting
This setting controls the unit of distance dis-
played on your Navigation System.
Mile *:
Show distances in miles.
Mile & Yard :
Show distances in miles and yards.
km :
Show distances in kilometers.
Auto Voice Recognition
After you have started the engine, turn on voice
recognition and set whether or not to perform all
operations up to route searching by voice.
(This function is effective only when a route is not
set.)
On :
The automatic voice recognition is activated.
Off *:
For starting voice operation, press the TALK
button.
Voice Recog.Help
This setting controls the list of available voice
commands displayed during voice operation.
On *:
The list of commands is shown.
Off :
The list of commands is not shown.
Monitor Type
The scanning type can be set according to the
type of a display used. If the screen of the display
you are using is blurred, change this setting to
the one that gives a clearer display.
Type A *:
Non-interlaced type. (When using Pioneer’s dis-
play, choose this setting.)
Type B :
Interlaced type.
