For UPS models with hardwired outputs, overcurrent protection for the output AC
circuit(s) is to be provided by others.

For UPS models with hardwired outputs, suitably rated disconnect switches for the
output AC circuit(s) are to be provided by others.
Recommended Upstream Protection
The indicated protection ensures discrimination for each output circuit
downstream of the UPS.
If these recommendations are not followed, protection discrimination is
not achieved and may result in a potential power interruption to the
connected devices.
