Cordless Telephone

During an intercom call:

If the cordless handset user has difficulty hearing the base unit user,
decrease the base unit speaker volume by pressing

(›)

.

If an incoming call is received, the intercom call stops and the unit starts to
ring. To answer, press

,

(DIGITAL\SP-PHONE)

or place the handset

and lift it again. The intercom is ended.

Transferring a Call Using the Intercom

(Cordless\Handset) (Base\Unit)

The intercom can be used during a call. This feature enables you to
transfer a call between the cordless handset and the base unit.

From the cordless
handset to the base unit

Cordless handset:
During a call, press

(CLEAR/INTERCOM/HOLD)

.

The call is put on hold and

Line on HOLD.

To transfer press
INTERCOM.

” is displayed.

Press

(CLEAR/INTERCOM/HOLD)

again. Talk to the paged
party after the beeps.

If the base unit user does not
answer, press

to return to

a call.

Base unit:
When the other party’s voice
is heard, lift the handset or
talk into the MIC.

To complete the transfer:
—when using the handset,

press

(OFF)

on the

cordless handset.

—when using the

speakerphone, press

(DIGITAL\SP-PHONE)

From the base unit to the
cordless handset

Base unit:
During a call, press

(LOCATOR/INTERCOM)

The call is put on hold and
DIGITAL SP-PHONE indicator
flashes.

If the cordless handset user
does not answer:
—when using the handset,

(LOCATOR/INTERCOM)

then press

(HOLD)

to return

to a call.

speakerphone, press

return to a call.
