The Router’s Front Panel

The front panel shown below contains status LEDs.

You can use the LEDs to verify various conditions.

Table 2-1

describes each LED.

1. Power

On
Off

Power is supplied to the router.
Power is not supplied to the router.

2. Test

On
Off

The system is initializing.
The system is ready and running.

3. Internet

On -- Green

Blink -- Green
On -- Amber

Blink -- Amber

Off

The Internet port is connected and an Internet session is in progress.
If the IP or PPPoE session is dropped due to an idle timeout, the light
will remain green. If the session is dropped for any other reason, the
LED color will change to amber.
Data is being transmitted or received by the Internet port.
The ADSL port is synchronized with your ISP’s DSLAM but there is
no Internet session.
The ADSL port is in the process of synchronizing with the your ISP’s
DSLAM.
No link is detected on the ADSL port.
