Stop the playback of the recording
source.

Press the s button and start the
recording source.

Recording starts. The track numbers are
automatically recorded. After the recording
reaches the end of the disc, the DX-R700 will
stop.

To set the track numbers manually

Press the o REC button.

To pause the recording

Press the g button. To resume recording, press the
s

button when the time display appears.

If the entire disc becomes filled with recordings, the
DX-R700 automatically stops.

To stop the recording

Press the e button.

Notes:

• When digitally recording satellite broadcasts, the

track numbers may not be assigned properly. If
this occurs, turn off the level sync function and
set the track numbers manually (see page 26).

• If the time between tracks is extremely short, the

track numbers may not be assigned properly.

For digital recording
Adjust so that when the recording level is at its
highest, the peak level should indicate between
-6 dB and -2 dB in the front display.

(2) Press the MULTI JOG dial.

Pressing the YES button provides the same
operation.
Press the EDIT/NO button if you cancel the
adjustment operation.

(3) Turn the MULTI JOG dial to adjust the

recording level as desired.

The current level is displayed, ranging from -

∞ to

+20 dB.

Adjust the recording level.

(1) Press the EDIT/NO button and turn the

MULTI JOG dial until “Rec Level?”
appears.

For analog recording
Adjust so that when the recording level is at its
highest, it does not reach “OVER” in the front
display. If OVER is reached, the sound becomes
distorted.

Even if you change the recording level, the
monitor sound level from the DIGITAL OUT
terminals will not change.

(4) After adjusting the recording level, press

the MULTI JOG dial.

Pressing the YES button provides the same
operation.

Adjust the level so that this range should light.

Adjust the level so that “OVER” will not light.
