The alert message display indicates the operational status of the unit or other alert information that you specified
to display via Amp Editor.
The following messages appear when certain malfunctions are suspected to have occurred. For details about alert
messages, including the following messages, refer to the Amp Editor Owner’s Manual.

Message Content Response
No battery The internal backup battery has been completely
exhausted or is not installed. When you turn off the power, the current settings will
be lost, and will return to the default values. Immedi-
ately stop using the unit, and contact your Yamaha
dealer.
Critical battery The internal backup battery has run extremely low,
and it is possible that memory has disappeared.
Low battery The internal backup battery has only a small amount
of power remaining. If you continue operation, settings may be lost and
return to the default values. Contact your Yamaha
dealer as soon as possible.
Current scn lost The settings saved in internal memory have been lost. The backup battery may have run down. Contact your
Yamaha dealer.
Fan failed[Ch*] The channel * cooling fan has stopped. Check whether dirt or a foreign object could have
clogged the fan, and clean the fan appropriately. If this
does not solve the problem, it is likely that the device
has malfunctioned. Immediately stop using the unit,
and contact your Yamaha dealer.
DC detected[*] Since a direct current component was detected in the
speaker output, the power amp’s power supply has
been shut down. It is likely that the device has malfunctioned; immedi-
ately stop using the unit, and contact your Yamaha
dealer.
Flash ROM error Failed while writing to internal flash ROM. It is likely that the device has malfunctioned; please
contact your Yamaha dealer.
Network HW error A problem has occurred in the internal network device.
DSP error A problem has occurred in the internal DSP.
Illegal MAC adr An invalid MAC address was specified.
Scene recall err The scene could not be recalled.
System error A system error has occurred. Initialize the memory. If this does not solve the prob-
lem, contact your Yamaha dealer.
Saving failed The scene could not be saved in internal memory.
Resume data lost The current scene settings saved in internal memory
have been lost. Recall the scene. If this does not solve the problem,
contact your Yamaha dealer.
