Operating During Transition Between Shore Power and Inverter Mode

Trouble Loads

Some appliances, including the types listed below, may be damaged if they
are connected to the Freedom HF:

Speed controllers found in some fans, power tools, kitchen appliances,
and other loads may be damaged.

Some chargers for small rechargeable batteries can be damaged. See
“Precautions for Using Rechargeable Appliances” on page viii for
details.

Metal halide arc (HMI) lights can be damaged.

STATEMENT OF HAZARD

Some equipment may be damaged by the Freedom HF’s modified sine
wave output, which has a different wave form than utility-supplied
electricity.

Failure to follow these instructions can damage the unit and/or
damage other equipment.

IMPORTANT: If you are unsure about operating any device with the
Freedom HF, contact the manufacturer of the device to ensure that it is
compatible with the modified sine waveform.
