Intended Use

(Mirage FX/ Mirage FX for Her/ Swift FX Nano/

Swift FX Nano for Her)

The mask channels airflow noninvasively to a patient from a continuous positive
airway pressure (CPAP) or bilevel device.
The mask is:

• to be used by patients >30 kg for whom positive airway pressure has been

prescribed

• intended for single-patient re-use in the home environment and multipatient

re-use in the hospital/institutional environment.

Intended Use

Mirage Activa)

The mask directs airflow noninvasively to a user from a positive airway pressure
device such as a continuous positive airway (CPAP) or bilevel system.
The mask is intended for:

• adult users (>30 kg) for whom positive airway pressure has been prescribed

• single user re-use in the home environment and multipatient re-use in the

hospital/institutional environment.

Using the Mask

• Refer to the Technical specifications section in this user guide for mask setting

options.

• Follow the instructions provided by your physician or sleep therapist.

• To fit your mask, follow the instructions in the Fitting section.

• Do not overtighten the headgear straps. If you feel air-leaks you may need to:

– refit or reposition your mask

– adjust your headgear

– check that your mask is assembled correctly

– contact your physician or sleep therapist to have your mask refitted.

• Mask-specific user guides are available on www.resmed.com on the Products

page under Service & Support. They are also available from ResMed upon
request.

The mask system does not contain latex, PVC or DEHP materials.

Interchangeable Frame

ResMed’s interchangeable frame accommodates both Mirage SoftGel and Mirage
Activa LT cushions.

Device Settings

The mask setting options for ResMed devices are listed in the “Mask Compatability
Table” on www.resmed.com on the Products page under Service & Support.

To disassemble your mask, follow the instructions in the Disassembly section.

Reassembly

To assemble your mask, follow the instructions in the Reassembly section.

Cleaning the Mask at Home

The mask and headgear can only be handwashed. The headgear may be washed

without removing the headgear clips.

Take care when cleaning to avoid damage or loss of components.

Daily/After Each Use

• To optimise mask seal, remove facial oils from the cushion before use.

• Do not soak the mask.

• Handwash the mask by rubbing gently in warm (30°C) water using mild soap

or diluted dishwashing detergent.

• Rinse all components well with drinking quality water and allow them to air dry

out of direct sunlight.

• If the vent or rotating parts like the swivels, ball joint or ring require cleaning,

use a soft bristle brush.

Weekly

Handwash the headgear in warm (30°C) water using mild soap or diluted
dishwashing detergent. Rinse well and allow it to air dry out of direct sunlight.
