Measuring system

without

monitoring of

the mass and max. electrode and their
connection lines

The connection line from the mass and max.
electrode to the signal conditioning
instrument is generally monitored on line
break with Ex-measuring systems and
overfill protections.

If conductive electrodes without Ex-version
are used (measuring system without Ex-
requirements) a resistor of 220 kOhm must
be mounted between mass and max.
electrode (between connection 1 and 3) for
monitoring of the connection line in the
connection box of the electrodes.

If this is not possible, it is necessary to
provide a bridge between terminal 3 and 4.

Note

In this case the monitoring of the mass and
max. electrodes and the connection lines are
inactive. Therefore also the fault signal is
ineffective.
