Using the MIDI terminals
MIDI stands for “Musical Instrument Digi-
tal Interface”. It is a way of communicating
instructions between MIDI instruments. It is
not a method of transmitting sound. With
MIDI, you can use the piano keyboard to
play another MIDI instrument, such as a
YAMAHA
synthesizer, or you can play the
digital piano part of your Silent Series
grand piano from another instrument.
This manual will not attempt to explain all
about MIDI; it will only deal with the
subject insofar as it affects the Silent Series
grand piano. If you want to know more,
there are many excellent books on the
market which explain how to use MIDI to its
full extent.
If you want to use your piano with other
MIDI instruments, you must have the
appropriate MIDI cables (available from
most musical instrument dealers).

Instrument aus spielen.
Diese Anleitung ist nicht dazu gedacht, alles
über MIDI zu erklären, sie behandelt nur die
Möglichkeiten des Flügels der “
Silent”-Serie .
Wenn Sie mehr darüber erfahren möchten, gibt
es viele hervorragende Bücher zu diesem
Thema, die MIDI in seiner Gesamtheit beschrei-
ben.
Wenn Sie Ihren Flügel der “
Silent”-Serie
zusammen mit anderen Instrumenten verwen-
den möchten, benötigen Sie entsprechende
MIDI-Kabel (im Fachhandel erhältlich).
