Concert ActiveX Client for ENPS User Guide

**

Clear-Com strongly recommends running the ActiveX Client in Detached Mode.

Running the ActiveX Client in detached mode requires a restart of NOM, an ENPS
Server application.

2. Restart both the ENPS Client and the News Object Manager (NOM, an ENPS Server

application).

The ENPS Client communicates the MOS configuration to the ENPS Server, which in
turn communicates these settings to all the other ENPS Clients.

1.2.3 Changing the MOS ID

Important Note:

The following procedure is usually carried out by an administrator of the ENPS system.

If the MOS ID for your system is not the default MOS ID

(ccr.concert.mos.1),

you

must change the MOS ID for each client machine.

To change the MOS ID:

1. On each client machine, open the following file:

C:\Users\$UserName\AppData\Roaming\Concert4ENPS\softpanel.ini

Where $UserName represents the Windows username.

Note:

The directory that contains the softpanel.ini file was created when Concert4ENPS (the
Active X Client) was installed.

2. For a new installation:

Add a new line called [Settings], and another that defines the MOS ID (mosid).
For example:

[Settings]

mosid=clearcom.concert.wyyx.goshawk.mos

For an existing installation:
Search for [Settings], and add a new line that defines the MOS ID (mosid) (see the
above example).

3. Be sure the MOS ID on the ENPS Client and the mosid in softpanel.ini are the same.

Note:

The updated configuration will be communicated to all client machines logging into the
ENPS Client. The client machines (having modified the softpanel.ini file) must restart
ENPS Client to register the changes.
