Operator Panel Settings for Data Communications
The following procedure guides the operator through setting data communications
parameters on the printer.
Setting the Baud Rate
1. Press the
ONLINE
PAUSE key. This takes you to the off-line menu.
2. With the Interface Status Off-Line displayed, press the
MENU
key. This
will take you the to the listing of sub-menus.
3. Press the
MENU
key until the I/O Config. option is displayed.
4. Press the
ITEM
FEED
key. Baud Rate is displayed.
5. Use the or
CANCEL
keys to set the Baud Rate value
[300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600].
Complete the selection process by pressing the
ENTER
PRINT key. An asterisk (*)
will appear in front of the selected value.
Setting the Flow Control Method
6. Press the
ITEM
FEED
key. Flow Control is displayed.
7. Use the or
CANCEL
keys to set the Flow Control method
[Hardware, Xon/Xoff Normal, Xon/Xoff Robust].
Complete the selection process by pressing the
ENTER
PRINT
key. An asterisk (*)
will appear in front of the selected option.
Setting RTS Polarity
8. Press the
ITEM
FEED
key. RTS Polarity is displayed.
9. Use the or
CANCEL
keys to set the RTS Polarity
[Online = High, Online = Low].
Complete the selection process by pressing the
ENTER
PRINT
key. An asterisk (*)
will appear in front of the selected option.
