unit.
> The electrical discharge which is available
from the charging electrode of the applicator
must not exceed 0.25 mJ of energy. To
achieve this limit, any flow of energy from the
paint supply through the paint line to the gun
electrode must be prevented by grounding the
paint line at the gun handle or body.
> Verify that the applicator is actually ground-
ed before operating it! (See the appropriate
spray gun manual.) If im-proper readings are
obtained, check that the MGS unit is ground-
ed. (See Ground Test Procedure in the MAIN-
TENANCE and the Troubleshooting Guide
section of this manual.)
1. Ensure that the AC power, air and low voltage
cables are connected as described in the
Installation Section.
> Check that the MGS unit is properly ground-
ed!
2. Be sure that the high voltage adjustment knob
is turned FULLY counter-clockwise.
3. Turn the AC Power ON/OFF switch to the ON
position. The green AC Power ON Indicator
will light indicating that AC power is being
supplied to the MGS unit.
4. For MGS 2001, a magnetic switch located in the
gun handle activates high voltage to that gun,
when the gun's trigger is pulled.
For MGS 2000C, high voltage to the gun is activated
by supplying adequate air to that gun's flow switch,
when the gun is triggered.
