1. If at least one gun works, problem is not with control unit PC board. If control unit PC board is
bad, no gun will work.
2. If more than one gun does not work, while others do, there is a high probability that the problem
is the MGS PC board. (chances are low that multiple guns, connections or flow switches would fail at
the same time).
Turn IGC board toggle switch OFF.
Does gun work?
Does numbered LED (green light) on
MGS PC board turn on when that
number gun’s trigger is pulled?
Check wiring from low voltage cable
sockets to MGS PC board for loose
connection/broken wires.
Replace MGS PC board.
Problem is with gun or low
voltage cable.
Replace airflow switch.
Replace IGC board.
Repair wiring between MGS
PC board and low voltage
cable socket.
Replace air flow switch.
Repair connection or
replace wire.
If hook transformer has
switch, is switch on?
Reconnect problem gun in
original position. Remove
barrel and test hook
transformer with 74195-00
Transformer Test
Assembly. Does test
assembly read 0.60
± 10%?
Remove low voltage cable
plug assembly from gun ,
remove tube from plug
assembly. Plug LTST5000
Tester into plug assembly.
With other guns off, short
terminals of defective guns
reed switch in plug
assembly. Does front panel
meter read rated kV?
Replace hook transformer.
Replace
barrel.
Replace
low
voltage
cable.
Plug LTST5000 Tester into problem
Guns low voltage cable socket. With
other guns off, trigger air flow through
defective gun. With LTST5000 tester
switch in front panel kV meter position,
does front panel kV meter read rated kV
±10%
Short terminals of air flow switch, trigger
air through gun and see if gun works.
