Preliminary Setup and Functional Test

1. Connect the amplifier module to the platform/cable assembly (WL-PLINK). Connect the

interconnect lead to the amplifier.

2. Turn on the oscilloscope and recall the default setup.

3. Connect the probe to Channel 1 ProLink (upper) input of the oscilloscope.

4. The probe LED should light up with a yellow/amber color to match the channel color. Display the

channel dialog by choosing Channel 1 Setup from the Vertical menu. Verify that the probe model
number is displayed on the amplifier tab of the C1 dialog.

5. Press the amplifier tab to display the probe details. If you will be performing a verification test,

record the probe model number and platform/amplifier serial number on the test record. Select
the interconnect tip that is being tested and record the tip type on the test record.

6. Connect the scope AuxOut to the scope Channel 2 through the PCF200 fixture. Use the following

elements in order: AuxOut -> BNC (m) to SMA (f) adapter -> SMA cable -> PCF200 -> ProLink
Adapter -> scope Channel 2.

7. Choose Utilities > Utilities Setup > Aux Output tab, then press the button to set the AuxOut to

1kHz, 1V square wave.

8. Set the scope to trigger on Channel 2, 250 mV. Set both Channel 1 and Channel 2 to 100 mV/div

with offset of -250 mV. Set the horizontal scale to 200 us/div.

9. Connect the probe interconnect lead to the PCF200 calibration fixture. The figure below shows

an SI lead connection. PT leads can be touched directly to the trace and ground. SP leads
