Trimble Ranger Serial Repeater Programmer

Fundamentals

The Trimble Ranger Serial Repeater Programmer (SRP) is designed to be easy to operate, and
certain conventions have been built in:

1. Buttons on the screen are activated by touch and may be pressed to access features,

make selections, and enter data;

2. Alternatively, keyboard commands may be used. A letter <E> or word <Enter> inside

brackets ( < > or [ ] ) on a button refers to a key on the SRP keyboard.

For example, you will see a button on some screens labeled Exit <E>. To exit the screen,
touch Exit <E> or press “E” on the keyboard; and

3. Whenever you exit or close a screen you will be returned to the screen you were viewing

previously.

Note: throughout this manual, the word “listen” will refer to the repeater’s or laptop’s effort to
receive a transmission; “hear” will refer to the reception of a transmission.
